Location Shots For Windhorse IMH, Inc // Masssachusetts Commercial Photography

This week we worked closely with Windhorse Integrated Mental Health based in Northampton, Massachusetts, San Luis Obispo and Portland Oregon. We were approached by Windhorse IMH to create custom portrait work for their new website. They were looking for unique and emotive imagery reflective of the people and the mission of their important work, and after a few meetings and reviews of our work we scheduled the shoot. I am so pleased to have been asked to create such important imagery for this unique integrative mental health program where understanding and compassion are at it’s core.

Windhorse believes that in recovery the body, mind, spirit and environment are intimately connected. Their approach starts from a place of understanding and healthy choices, they offer a place to start on the path to recovery, and growing confidence for a lifelong commitment to health and well-being.

Here is a look at the locations chosen for the day long commercial shoot. We look forward to being able to share some of the work created for Windhorse soon.

BEAUTIFUL LATE SUMMER FAMILY PHOTO SESSION // MASSACHUSETTS FAMILY PORTRAIT

And here we are. Another year has come and gone.

These dear sweet friends asked me to once again capture the sweet and tender spirit of their family, their connection, their joy, their gratitude for one another, the natural world and the wonder of it all. Of course, I agreed. It was around this time just last year that late in the summer these two little gals seemed so much smaller, and yet have in the last twelve months grown so big! How beautiful, how bittersweet.

Still, somehow as I quietly observed them and gently photographed them, I could still sense their smallness.

When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it’s your world for the moment. I want to give that world to someone else. Most people in the city rush around so, they have no time to look at a flower. I want them to see it whether they want to or not.
