For the first time in a VERY long time, my eldest and myself had some much needed Mama/Son time. It was a weekend excursion that I had planned months ago, a trip to Tanglewood in Lenox to see the elusive Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Ensemble. My kiddo has always had an appreciation for the music of Yo-Yo Ma and it was a dream come true (for this mama to make it possible) for him to see and hear him perform. I had an intuition that he (my kiddo) would take the experience of seeing this live performance, and it would run wild within his being for a long time to come, and perhaps inspire him in ways he won’t realize for some time. What an overwhelming joy to see such a young person watching a listening to the beauty of the music before us all that night. It was a very powerful and deeply moving experience, and having never been to Tanglewood before I was even more grateful to have shared this first experience with my child. Not only was the music magical, but so were the grounds! Here are a few shots from our time in Lenox and at Tanglewood. (notice the sweet i-heart-u note by my boy, as well as the portrait he took of his mama!). I am so very very grateful to be this kiddos Mama!!!
